AWS Class E347-16 electrodes are made from austenitic stainless steel, featuring around 18% chromium, 9% nickel, and a touch of niobium (Nb) to enhance the alloy’s resistance to intergranular corrosion. These weld deposits are known for their high tensile strength, excellent toughness, and outstanding resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and intergranular corrosion. The coated electrodes offer stable arc characteristics, easy slag removal, and consistent bead formation, resulting in high-quality, durable welds that are perfect for chemical, high-temperature, and corrosive environments.

These electrodes offer exceptional corrosion resistance, particularly against intergranular corrosion. Typically available in diameters of 1/16″ to 1/8″ (1.6 mm to 3.2 mm), they provide a lighter coating, facilitating easier welding with smooth, clean welds and minimal spatter.
Known for high corrosion resistance, especially in harsh environments, these electrodes come in diameters of 1/8″ to 5/32″ (3.2 mm to 4.0 mm). The heavy coating enhances arc stability and provides a thicker slag layer, offering better protection and ease of removal for cleaner welds.
These electrodes deliver superior corrosion resistance and are ideal for high-temperature applications. Typically available in diameters of 3/32″ to 1/8″ (2.4 mm to 3.2 mm), they are designed for shielded arc welding, ensuring stable arcs and good weld integrity in challenging conditions.
We guarantee complete transparency and top-notch quality assurance for our AWS Class E347-16 Electrodes. All orders are accompanied by necessary documents such as a commercial invoice, packing list, fumigation certificate, heat treatment chart, and an NABL-approved lab test report. We also provide a Material Test Certificate as per EN 10204/3.1b, PMI Test Certificate, 100% radiography test report, and Third-Party Inspection Certificate. Our documentation is very well arranged to ensure the highest level of client satisfaction.
These AWS Class E347-16 electrodes are commonly used for welding austenitic stainless steels, especially 304/304L and similar grades, in situations where intergranular corrosion resistance is essential. Typical applications include chemical and petrochemical equipment, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, pipelines, and marine structures. They are particularly well-suited for fabrication, maintenance, and repair tasks where high corrosion resistance, strength, and weld integrity are crucial for long-lasting performance.
