The AWS Class E630-16 electrodes are crafted from high-alloy austenitic stainless steel, making them perfect for welding nickel-based superalloys, especially Alloy 625. These electrodes typically contain 25–26% chromium, 9–10% nickel, 3–4% molybdenum, along with trace elements, which give them remarkable resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. On the mechanical side, the weld deposits boast high tensile strength, excellent toughness, and impressive durability even at elevated temperatures. The coated electrodes provide stable arc characteristics, smooth bead formation, and consistent fusion with base metals, resulting in long-lasting, high-integrity welds.
