The AWS Class E410NiMo-16 electrodes are made from martensitic stainless steel, featuring around 12% chromium, 4–5% nickel, and added molybdenum to boost toughness and corrosion resistance. These electrodes are specifically designed for welding martensitic stainless steels, providing high tensile strength, solid hardness, and excellent wear and moderate corrosion resistance. They deliver stable arc characteristics, smooth bead formation, and dependable fusion with base metals, resulting in welds that can endure stress and moderate corrosive conditions. There’s also the option for post-weld heat treatment to further enhance mechanical properties.
