The 17-7 PH stainless steel sheets and plates are crafted from a chromium-nickel-aluminum precipitation-hardening alloy, which contains about 16–18% chromium, 6.5–7.75% nickel, and 0.75–1.50% aluminum, along with carbon ≤ 0.09% and trace amounts of manganese, silicon, phosphorus, and sulfur. In their annealed state, they are ductile and easy to form, exhibiting moderate tensile strength and elongation. After undergoing precipitation-hardening heat treatment, they achieve exceptional tensile strength, impressive hardness, and superior fatigue resistance, all while maintaining good corrosion resistance in fresh water, industrial settings, and mild marine environments.
